Cancer is a disease of the cells in your body. Healthy Cells have a normal life cycle of approximately 120 days before they die. Your body replaces dying cells with healthy cells.
There are different types of cells in our body, and there are many different types of cancer (around 200 ) which arise from different of cells.
What all types of cancer have in common ?
What all types of cancer have in common is that the cancer cells are abnormal and grow at a much quicker rate than healthy cell, multiplying in a form “out of control” making new blood vessels to feed themselves (angiogenesis) and refusing to die.
Malignant Tumours invade into nearby tissues causing damage spread to others parts of the body. This normally happens only if some cells break off from the first primary tumour and are carried in the bloodstream or lymph channels to other parts of the body. These small groups of cells may then multiply to other form of secondary tumours (metastases)
Cancer is not just one conditions, some form of cancer are more serious than others, some are more responsive to treatment especially if diagnosed at an early stage) and some have better ( prognosis) than others. In each case it’s very important know exactly what type of cancer has developed, how large it has become and how to react to a cancer diagnosis.
What Causes Cells to Multiply out control and develop a tumour ?
Cancer can only develop in an unhealthy body or in one whose immune system is not functioning properly. There have to be a numbers of change to the genes within a cell before it turns into a cancer cell. These changes can happen by accident when the cell is dividing ot they can happen because exist a damage on the cell done by carginogens and other interior causes and the damage is then passed on to future daughter cell when that cell divides. Most type of cancer become more common as we get older because a genetic error may occur in our cells and the immune system lose efficiency.
White blood cells and Lymphocytes are constantly on the lookout for abnormal cells. We all have cancer cells in out body, but as Dr. josef Iseel claimed, a healthy body won’t develop cancer because it has a defense system that can recognize cancer cells or reject them.
When the body is exposed to carcinogens ( cancer-causing substance) damage occur to the body’s DNA. Free radicals are formed that try to steal electrons from other molecules in the body. These free radicals damage cells affect their ability to function normally and instead to die the cell continue to divide and reproduce until they create a tumour.
What are the symptoms of cancer?
Cancer symptoms may change for different reasons : depending on the cancer location, the size, where it has spread, and the age of the patience. For some type of cancers a skin control can be enough to be detected –
In general Skin cancer (melanoma) is often related with change color in a wart or mole on the skin. Other easy type of cancer detection is in case of oral cancers because normally it presents white patche in the mouth or multiple white spots on the side of the tongue.
Few type of Cancers have low or nor so evident physically symptoms and only when the size of the tumour is big enough to push against other nerves or nearby organs is when the symptoms and the pain become more evident. For example some early state of brain tumors tend to do not present symptoms until the growth of cell start to affects other part of the brain. Another example is the Pancreas cancers that usually until the size of the tumour is not large enough to cause pain by interfere with liver function.
For many other type of cancer normally the only moment when is possible feel pain and cancer symptoms is when the tumour become more evident and pushes against organs and blood vessels. One of this is the colon cancers normally affect by symptoms of constipation, severe diarrhea and fast loss weight. Similar to Colon is the bladder or prostate cancers normally detected by first symptoms of frequent or evident reduction of pressure the urine channel during the urination
Sometime its also possible that as collateral effect or cells infection and low immune system state, the body’s energy become more weak and vulnerable presenting symptoms of high fever, low blood pressure, anemia, tiredness, excessive sweating, hemorrhoid. When the cancer reached the metastasizes status, additional symptoms can appear in the affected area.
