White rice is a very popular kitchen staple. It’s cheap, it cooks fast, and has a more fluffy texture than that of brown rice.
Unfortunately, brown rice doesn’t get the recognition it so deserves. It is a powerhouse food that has not only double the fiber that white race has, but it’s also a powerful body cleanser to detoxify and therefore is incredibly beneficial for diet approach. It is for this reason that many are learning about the brown rice and vegetables diet .
So what does it do?
Well.. this diet is one that proposes cleansing and detoxification of the body.
This is a some-what extreme diet plan, meaning that the only thing you can eat is brown rice. The basic thought behind this diet is that when white rice is milled, it loses much, if not all, of its nutritional value, meaning it’s all but stripped of its fiber content. Fiber is what is claimed to remove the toxins from your body.
There are two ways to go about incorporating the brown rice diet plan into your life.
Extreme Brown Rice Diet
The first would involve eating just tiny meals of brown rice, cooked in water, five to six times daily. There is no other food permitted, however it is allowed and recommended you drink at least eight to ten glasses of water, and a glass of fresh vegetable juice now and again. You need to stick with this plan for up to two weeks, and during this time the body is cleansed of harmful chemicals and toxins. The body will feel cleansed because it’s consuming so much water, which is a diuretic, as well as the fiber from the rice, which is a natural laxative.
Normal Healthy Version:
Another version of the brown rice diet, and the more sensible, healthy of the two, is that you can eat other types of healthy foods rather than just the rice, for example fruit and vegetables, organic and raw, in order to get the best nutrients out of them. As with the extreme variant it is recommend you drink as much water as possible which helps with the detoxification of the body, while on the brown rice diet.
This diet really isn’t that much different from other low-fat diets out there. Fruit and brown rice, vegetables with brown rice, and even brown rice with brown rice, is allowed. Subsequently, you can have herbal tea with brown rice or fruit juice with brown rice. As much as you would like, but this must be followed for a full week in order for it to be effective.
Both of these versions of the brown rice diet will allow you to lose weight, however incorporating exercise into your daily routine is just as important, since taking on this diet alone is not going to work, or at least not permanently, for weightloss you are going to need to do cardio exercises to help burn fat, as well as spot-training to tone and target areas.
