Cellulite Diet

Cellulite. It’s a woman’s worst nightmare. Even the thinnest of women will still battle the cellulite bulge. And while many in the beauty world will tell you that cellulite is a build up of toxins, it really isn’t. Cellulite is fat that is held together in stacked lipid “boxes”. When you gain weight, even if it’s a slight weigh gain, the fibers holding the boxes together thicken. At that point, the fat gets squeezed upwards, thus creating the dimpled look.

This fat has a high number of water-attracting cells, which allows fluid to be drawn into the boxes. This leads to more lumps. So, how severe your cellulite is depends on how much fat and fluid you retain, how thick the fibers become, and how firm you skin is. All of these factors are also influenced by genetics and your age. However, all of this can be controlled and improved by the foods that you choose to eat. Your diet can play a key role in whether or not you have cellulite.

Reduce Fluid Retention

One of the most important things to remember when fighting cellulite is to eliminate excess fluid from your fat cells in order to reduce the amount that bulges from the lipid boxes. Therefore, you need to cut out salt, drink plenty of water and eat foods that are a natural diuretic, like cranberries, fennel, asparagus and celery.

Eat And Drink Healthy

Yes, skinny women do get cellulite. But excess fat makes that condition worse.

The below diet plan gives you about 1,400 calories a day, for most people this would be a sufficient deficit but not to serve, and would allow you to lose roughly two pounds of fat per week.

Diet Plan:

Drink: Water as a stape and a few cups of Green tea as it is a proven weight loss aid, and can help you loose around 80 calories a day, it also speeds up the metabolism, thus allowing more fat to burn.

Staple Foods: Brown rice, Brown pasta, whole grain cereals, as well as other healthy and nutritious foods James has mentioned in other articles. This type of food is high in antioxidants, which help battle against cellulite.

Fruit And Vegtables: Broccoli is an amazing vegetable. The nutritional values are extremely high. Each floret contains a ton of minerals and vitamins, and is also extremely low in calories. Broccoli also has one property that other foods lack: Alpha lipoic. This is a naturally-occurring substance that helps prevents collagen that is in the body from hardening, which then causes the cellulite. Try to include three or four steamed portions a week to your diet.

For a fantastic fruit, oranges are the way to go. They taste sweet to satisfy the sweet-tooth craving, but they are great for your body. Packed with vitamin C, oranges contain nutrients that help improve blood circulation, and they correct cell imbalances that could lead to the formation of cellulite.

Other cellulite controlling foods:  Berries, oily fish, even cayenne pepper.

Bottom line is to combat cellulite, you need to incorporate this foods and drink into your overall diet. Not just as a passing fad but in everyday life. Getting the right amount of exercise is also important as well, and you will not only feel great on the outside, but on the inside as well.
