There has been a lot of discussion recently about using a raw food diets for weight loss, personally I’m not a massive fan of the raw food diet, since depending on how you do it, it doesn’t offer much variety, and one of the reasons we started to cook food, in the first place was it cuts down on the time and energy needed to digest food.
That’s not to say Raw food is bad, I just think like everything else you need variety, personally raw food wise, I eat snacks of Apples, have an pepper salad, and eat Tuna pitta’s so I do eat raw food, I’m not anti-raw food, just imagine only being able to eat raw food every day which will obviously consist mostly of vegetables and fruit, although maybe fishes and if you’re feeling brave meat.
- Fish you can safely eat Raw:
These can be eaten from a Can, as a pitta, or salad, or you can opt for something more adventurous try Sushi.
If you’re feeling brave you could try meats, some people believe that salt and vinegar can kill some bacteria, and that is probably correct, as well as freezing meats for two weeks or longer, although personally I wouldn’t risk it as an example tests have found 48% of Chicken sold in supermarkets has E. Coli although obviously it’s up to you (Legal disclaimer: SDH takes no responsibility for any consequences that may arise from you eating raw meat, nor do we recommend you eat raw meat, if you choose to do so it is entirely at your discretion).
Finally that leaves us Fruits and Vegetables, these two are fairly simple, since all the usual fruits and vegetables mentioned in my Top 4 Best Fruits For Weight Loss and Top 10 Best Vegetables For Weight Loss articles are compatible with a Raw Food duet, but also for a Raw food only diet you should also include Marine Pytoplankton, Spirulina, Chorella and Wheatgrass.
